Everything you need to "know before you show". The Tacoma Home + Garden Show, in order to ensure a minimal footprint, does not print nor mail the Exhibitor Kit. All of the forms, links, and information you need can be found below.

SHOW OFFICE & HOURS
The Show Office is located on the NE side of the arena.
Show Management will be available in person during the hours of Move-In, Show Days, through Move-Out.

Box Office sales will stop one hour before the end of show. This is to ensure attendees are getting the full value of their ticket and are able to see all booths.
COMPLIMENTARY SHOW TICKETS
All Exhibitors will receive 8 complimentary tickets per company mailed to the address on their contract. Use these guest tickets for clients, prospects, friends, and family! If you would like to order more than the 8 tickets provided, additional passes can be purchased for only $10.00 each. Contact EmilyB@mpeshows.com or purchase on-site at the Show Office.
A show ticket is only valid for one day and are NOT day specific. In and out privileges for same day will require a hand stamp, you can ask for a stamp in the show lobby BEFORE leaving the building.

Driving into the Tacoma Dome to unload will only be available on Tuesday, January 26, from 8 am – 8 pm. Please see below for your scheduled time. There will be no Vehicle access/unloading on Wednesday, January 27. Booths along the East Perimeter wall will be used as a driving lane and are unable to move in on Tuesday January 26, these booths must move in on Wednesday January 27. Before deciding if you need to drive into the building to unload, remember the show provides free forklifting service and limited pushcarts to help you bring in your booth display.
TUESDAY, JANUARY 26
South Arena & West Exhibition Hall
8:00 am - 12:00 pm. If you are in the designated locations above, please arrive in this time frame if you need to drive into the Tacoma Dome and unload. All vehicles must be out by 12pm, you may continue working on your booth until the doors lock at 8pm.
TUESDAY, JANUARY 26
North, North Perimeter, South Perimeter Arena, & East Exhibition Hall
1:00 pm - 8:00 pm. This is the earliest time you are able to access your booth, and only time frame you are allowed to drive into the Tacoma Dome to unload. Do not arrive prior to your move-in time, you will be turned away at the entrance. Your space may be used as a driving lane, and your booth pipe and drape will not be ready.
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 27 All Booths, All Locations - There will be no vehicle access inside the Tacoma Dome on Wednesday.
8:00 am - 8:00 pm. Hand cart & carry only. If you do not need to drive in to set up your booth and are able to set up in one day, you can move in on Wednesday. This is the only day and time frame for Arena booths on the East Perimeter.
- Forklift services available via our decorator, Trade Show Supply House Inc. Visit their service desk in the NE corner of the Arena, next to the Show Office
- Aisle carpet will be installed throughout the day on Tuesday. ALL AISLES MUST BE KEPT CLEAR.
- Pick up your Exhibitor Badges at the Show Office located in the NE corner of the arena. Follow signs for Show office.
MOVE OUT
SUNDAY, JANUARY 31
5:01 pm -10:00 pm- Booth teardown can begin at 5:01 pm on Sunday January 31, do not pack up your booth earlier than this. Please respect the attendees and your fellow exhibitors by adhering to this policy.
- The Decorator will begin rolling up the aisle carpets as soon as the show closes, this can take up to1.5 hours after show closing to finish. No vehicles are allowed into the building until the carpet has been removed. KEEP ALL AISLES CLEAR to ensure a smooth and quick process for our decorator.
EXHIBITOR BADGES
Exhibitor Badges are required for entry during show days. Please pick your badges during move-in at the Show Office located in the NE corner of the Arena.
Once picked up, you are responsible for distributing the badges to your staff prior to entering the building. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BADGE IN YOUR BOOTH. Replacements are $7 each if badge is lost or left in booth.
Badges are allocated as follows:
| 0 - 100 square feet = 5 badges |
| 150 - 200 square feet = 7 badges |
| 250 - 300 square feet = 9 badges |
| 350 - 400 square feet = 11 badges |
To pick up badges during show dates, please instruct your workers to park on Lot F or G, and use the Exhibitor Entrance to enter building at the NE corner and go directly to the

SECURITY
Exhibitors are subject to search prior to entering the facility, this includes all bags, backpacks, purses, briefcases, etc. Metal detectors will be used when entering the building during show days, please be prepared and arrive early in case of lines.Smoking and vaping is prohibited inside the building.

FLOOR COVERING
It is mandatory all booths have floor covering on 100% of their square footage. This is not included in your booth price. You may bring your own or rent from our decorator Trade Show Supply House
- All flooring must be clean, and professional looking. Approved flooring types include carpeting, interlocking foam tiles, astroturf, hardwood, tile, vinyl flooring.
- All floor edges must be secured with double sided tape on the underside of the carpet. Duct tape is not permitted. Any tape or residue left on the floor after moving out is subject to a fee.
- Protective material must be placed on the floor before laying bricks, patios, etc. Do not drill holes, nail glue or affix flooring. Any damage (including unremoved tape) to the Tacoma Dome flooring will be repaired at the Vendor's expense.
- Table covering can be any color, they do not need to be black like the picture above.
PIPE & DRAPE

All inline exhibit spaces will have three 'walls' made of 8’ high pipe with black drape, one on each side and one at the back.
Corner booths will have two sides of 8' high, black drape, open on the corner.
End cap booths will have black pipe and drape on the back wall. There is no furniture or flooring included with your booth price. Please see Decorator & Electrician Order Forms section of the vendor kit to rent any additional booth items.
TABLE COVER & SKIRTING
It is mandatory that all tables are properly covered and skirted. To ensure your booth looks professional and inviting to the attendee, all inventory and personal items must be stored COMPLETELY OUT OF SIGHT.
- Skirting must go from the edge of the table to the floor on all four sides. All skirting must be pressed and neat.
- Use of plastic tablecloths, sheets, shower curtains or any type of “makeshift” tablecloths is not permitted.
- Trade Show Supply House is available to rent tables that will be properly skirted for an additional charge
**all incorrectly skirted tables at the Vendor’s expense.
LIGHTING
Each 10' x 10' booth comes with 600-Watt 120-volt (5amp) outlet of electricity.
Due inconsistent overhead lighting throughout the dome, all vendors need plan for additional lighting in their booth, especially those on the inline and perimeters. The Tacoma Dome’s overhead lighting will not be adjusted on show days.
Adequate lighting will not only enhance visibility but also highlight your display beautifully!
- Receptacles are shared with your neighbor and located near the back or side of your booth. Do not move receptacles from installed location, these must be accessible to neighboring booths.
- You can rent additional lighting equipment and power outlets through CORT Pro Services
PROOF OF EVENT GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE
All Marketplace Events shows require show insurance. Coverage dates must include Move-In through Move-Out, January 25-31, 2027. Liability requirements are $1,000,000.

Please email a copy of your certificate to MichelleD@mpeshows.com prior to show open. Neither Show Management nor the Tacoma Dome will accept responsibility for injury to persons, loss of or damage to products, exhibits, equipment, or decorations, by fire, accident, theft, or any other causes while in the building.
Exhibitors, or their agents, must provide adequate insurance for their own personnel, the public, exhibits and materials against all such hazards.
RECOMENDED INSURANCE PROVIDORS
There are several companies which offer short term insurance for events, such as Insurance Canopy, John Buttine Insurance, ACT insurance, or Hartford Insurance.
Even though we have security on duty, Marketplace Events, LLC and the Tacoma Dome will not accept responsibility for loss or damage of merchandise during the move-in, show, or move-out of the Tacoma Home + Garden Show Festival.
WASHINGTON STATE TAX ID NUMBER (UBI)
The Washington State Dept. of Revenue requires every exhibitor who participates at the show to provide a UBI number (WA State Tax ID) if conducting business in the state of Washington.
Please email your UBI number to MichelleD@mpeshows.com. The show must submit all UBI numbers, including temporary ones to the state.
TEMPORARY UBI NUMBER
Temporary UBI numbers are free of charge. If you are an out of state/country exhibitor and need a temporary number, register online at dor.wa.gov/contact/temporary-registration-certificate. *Please note that temporary UBIs are good for 6 months.
- A "temporary business” is a business that has no more than two events per year in Washington State with each event lasting no longer than one month.
- Persons who make sales in Washington outside of the two events may be responsible for additional tax liability and may be required to get a “tax registration endorsement” instead of a temporary registration certificate. Visit dor.wa.gov/education/industry-guides/out-state-businesses-reporting-thresholds-and-nexus for more information on registration and tax reporting requirements.
- For questions, please contact the Washington State Department Of Revenue at 253-382-2000 for assistance.
- You are required to report all revenue from the show to the state 10 days after the close of the show.

PARKING
Exhibitor parking is FREE and is located in Lot F, G and J. The Exhibitor Entrances are the NE and NW Doors of the main Dome, and the doors along E 27th St for the Exhibition Hall. Lot K is disabled parking. Please do not park in Lot I - Tacoma Dome staff only.

SCAM ALERT FOR EXHIBITORS

As per our privacy policy, Marketplace Events is a permission-based email sender. We do not share, rent, or sell any email lists.
There have been a number of spam emails offering our attendee lists. These are scams and the senders are unauthorized to use the Marketplace Events’ name. These scammers are attempting to receive monies from exhibiting companies without providing anything in return. These emails are not approved by Marketplace Events, and Marketplace Events would never ask for bank information or other sensitive information over email.
